A MOOC (Massive Online Open Course) conducted by members of the UC3M group in eMadrid will begin in the Miriada X platform next Tuesday, January 15th, 2013.The course is entitled “Digital education of the future. MOOC already have five years of history and its importance is still developing. In addition to the usual dislocation of the space and time dedicated to the educational process made in ICT supported education, these courses define its especifity in its massive and open features. Courses included in the Miriada X platform are supported by the educational institutions which make them. Nowadays 16 Spanish Universities and 2 Latin American ones are included in this project.
Regardless of the mentioned course made by the UC3M group, another network connection between Miriada X and eMadrid is the cooperation of the UNED group in eMadrid on several projects with the CSEV Foundation (Centro Superior para la enseñanza virtual , Center of Advanced Virtual Learning). This foundation is a partner in Miriada X platform. Also a product of this cooperation, the eMadrid seminar of last January 14 at UCM included a paper entitled “The Importance of Learning Analytics in Massive Online and Open Courses: Examples of the unX Community and the UNED COMA Project “. (UNED COMA is the MOOC platform at the UNED.)
